Hello and welcome to Clifton Court

Our Home

Clifton Court is located just outside of the village of Clifton-Upon-Dunsmore on the outskirts of Rugby. Originally a private mansion then a hotel, it still retains many of the beautiful features of the original building after being modernised to offer a high standard of living to all of our residents.

The Home is situated in a woodland setting with panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. Rooms are available over three floors and can be accessed via a passenger lift.

The Home is an established Residential and Nursing Care Home providing full residential and nursing accommodation with 24 hour personal care in a loving, family-like environment to clients who, by reason of advancing years, find it difficult to continue living by independent means. We accept permanent, respite, short stay and emergency admissions.

Clifton Court is committed to providing high quality residential and nursing care for its residents. Our highly trained nurses and carers understand the challenges facing the person and their families. By using frequent assessments of capabilities and requirements, our nursing staff ensure that the right level support is always in place to enable the person living in our Home to have a fulfilling life.

Features of the Home

We have accommodation for 41 residents and all rooms have en-suite facilities with 24 hour nurse call-bell facilities. All furniture and furnishings are provided, but we encourage residents to bring any personal possessions that they may wish to have, to help them feel at home.

Any specialist equipment assessed as necessary to promote health and safety is made available and used by staff to ensure our resident’s needs are met in an appropriate and safe manner.

Two comfortable lounges and a dining room add to the comfort of the Home. A pleasant patio area with panoramic views of the surrounding countryside is ideal for sitting out on sunny days.

Our Staff

We have a qualified and experienced care team who are on duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

We continually invest in training our staff which enables our care staff to gain QCF (Qualification and Credit Framework) qualifications in care. This helps us to continue to improve the care provided to all residents.

Our Services

We offer:

We complete a pre-admission assessment to determine whether or not we can meet each person’s needs. This assessment is completed by a senior member of our company who details the potential resident’s requirements. The information is used to create a personalised centred care plan for the individual which is reviewed regularly with the involvement of each resident and if more appropriate, with their families.

Residents choose how and where to spend their time and are able to maintain their preferred lifestyle and daily routines.

We offer a well balanced, home cooked menu choice with fresh fruit and vegetables, home baked cakes, with personal preferences and dietary needs catered for. Additional snacks and refreshments are always available on request.

Our staff realise the importance of stimulation and have daily schedules of activities to aid motivation and help prevent monotony. In addition, independent companies visit to provide regular sessions of games, music and physical activities.

Maintaining Our High Standards

Clifton Court is registered by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), the body empowered by the Government to regulate care homes. They inspect the Home regularly to ensure that high standards of care are maintained and the reports they publish can be viewed on their website.

In addition, contract and monitoring officers from Warwickshire County Council carry out quality checks on the service so that they can be confident that the Home’s good standards are being maintained.
